pl6:

- pressing DATA/VOICE during message playback causes the modem
to hang up (thanks to Gunter Shadow for bugging me about this)

pl3:

- fixed <DLE>d bug which may have caused messages to be lost

- added `Creative Voice' *.VOC conversion

pl2:

- integrated the Makefile with the mgetty one, you only have to
  set CFLAGS once now

- automatic removal of quiet period at end of messages

Version 0.5:

- uglification (K&R) thanks to Chris Lewis

- attempt at 6.10 ROM support

- added beep at the end of recorded messages

- integration into the mainstream mgetty distribution

Version 0.4:

- improved SUN .au conversion, thanks to Robert Joop

- experimentation with speech synthesizer support (not finished)

Version 0.3:

Version 0.2:

pl4: added short delays to avoid problems on fast machines

pl3: bug fix: `char ch' replaced with `int ch' in zplay.c and sendfax.c

pl2: bug fix: the volume setting was broken, a macro got expanded wrong

pl1: bug fix: `zplay' caused the modem to go on-hook, which is bad
if you want to use it for remote playback

- new configuration options (ring counter, silence threshold, speaker volume)

- a `make install' that actually does something useful

- `AA' lamp is used to indicate that new messages have arrived, push
  DATA/VOICE to play them

- DATA/VOICE can also be used if you picked up the phone by hand and
you want vgetty to take the call (i.e. it was a fax or data call).

- optional toll saver - pick up the phone earlier if there are new
  messages

- the external programs (remote playing etc) should be more stable

- added `pvfecho' - echo/reverb effect for voice files

- flow control works now for linux

- various bug fixes
