This appears to be quickly becoming a 'to-do' file, despite the fact I've
got one of them as well. Ho hum. Mostly I'm just acknowledging aspects of
zgv which are, uh, sub-optimal. I've given up trying to fix *all* the bugs
before I release zgv as version 1.3. Maybe I should call it "OS/360". :)
So here we go:

--- Known bugs (in no particular order) ---

[please report bugs you find that aren't listed here, which includes errors
in this BUGS file and other documentation errors, to rm1ajy2@gre.ac.uk.]

It's been difficult to keep all the documentation up to date. Expect errors.

The config file .zgvrc is saved as owned by root (because zgv is setuid
root, and doesn't do any chown on the file). This isn't a problem until you
want to edit it, and you're not on as root. :(

Corrupt data errors are often non-fatal for JPEGs, but zgv always regards
them as fatal.

The GIF error reporting isn't totally perfect. If a GIF file is corrupted in
such a way that the decompressed image has a larger number of pixels in it,
the extra pixels will be ignored and no error or warning will be generated.
I haven't bothered to make a (corrupt) GIF which would do this yet, but it
is possible - the easiest way is to reduce the image width or height as
reported in the image block header.

Tnpic might have problems with corrupt JPEG files. Not sure though.

Zgv doesn't play "Leave That Thing Alone" by Rush while it's decompressing
pictures. Expect this bug to be fixed in v1.4, which will coincidentally be
around 2MB bigger. :)
